2017. Onyx announced BOOX MAX Carta e-reader

Onyx has just unveiled their second-generation 13.3-inch e-reader Boox Max Carta, which now uses Carta instead of the E Ink Mobius screen. It continues to support the stylus but does not include a touchscreen layer. The e-reader boasts a 13.3-inch E Ink Carta display with a resolution of 2200 x 1650. It is powered by a 1GHz CPU and has 1GB of RAM. With 16GB of internal storage, you can expand it up to 32GB via an SD card. It connects to the internet via WIFI and also includes Bluetooth, though it is unclear if it has a USB host controller for a keyboard. It ships with Android 4.0, but Onyx indicates that it will support Android 4.4 in the future. Additionally, it features a speaker, a 3.5mm headphone jack for listening to music or audiobooks and a small microphone. The Onyx Boox Carta is priced at $853.
