Lithium vs ReadEra

September 09, 2025 | Author: Maria Lin
Lithium and ReadEra are both free Android apps for reading ePub and PDF books. They provide such features as offline reading, customization of the reader screen, text scaling, bookmarks for saving the last read position.

But Lithium is more focused on the EPUB format. It can automatically detect EPUB books in the device's memory, has a minimalist design without distracting elements but with smooth text scrolling and night mode. Lithium quickly opens even very large book files and can synchronize read progress via Google Drive (in the Pro version).

ReadEra is a more universal reader with support for a wide range of formats (ePub, PDF, DOC, FB2, TXT, etc.). It has a more convenient library view with book sorting and collections, advanced settings for displaying text, built-in dictionary and in-text search. There are also unique features for opening several books at the same time (tab mode) and reading archived files without unpacking
