2023. Kobo launched e-book and audiobook subscription service Kobo Plus



Kobo launched ebook subscription service Kobo Plus in the US - a competitor to Amazon Kindle Unlimited. Pricing starts at $7.99 per month (while Kindle Unlimited costs $9.99 per month) and gives users access to 1.3 million books (but not all of them). If you want access to both books and audiobooks, you'll need to pay $9.99 per month. Notably, the company allows you to read or listen to books offline in mobile apps for iOS, Android, desktop client and of course Kobo's dedicated e-Ink readers like Oasis and Libra. Untill now Kobo Plus was available in the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, France, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
