Koreader and Librera are both popular e-reading apps that open files directly from mobile device's memory. They support variety of formats (ePub, PDF, DJVU, etc.), allow customization of fonts, margins and colors, include night mode, support bookmarks and annotations.

But Koreader is an open-source app designed for installation on e-Ink e-readers (Kobo, Kindle) running Linux or Android. It is primarily used for reading PDF files and offers high-speed PDF rendering as well as advanced text display options. It integrates with OPDS and Dropbox, supports Lua scripts and plugins.

Librera is a regular mobile e-reader for Android smartphones and tablets with a built-in file manager and library with flexible organization of collections by tags. It enables text-to-speech, convenient zoom and crop of margins and a special mode for reading comics. The app is free, but contains ads. To remove ads, you need to purchase the Pro version.
