Komga vs Ubooquity

Komga and Ubooquity are both free software for organizing and reading comics and books. They work as servers with a user interface accessible through a browser (there is also the possibility of using mobile reading apps as clients). Both systems support work in a local network and over the Internet, allow you to configure access rights for different users, sort and organize your collection, support different file formats (CBR, CBZ, PDF, etc.) for parsing metadata and reading.

But Komga is an open-source self-hosted server focused on managing and reading comics and manga. It has a more convenient interface and more modern web reader with smooth page turning and the ability to track reading progress. Komga provides a REST API for integrations and can download metadata and covers from online sources

Ubooquity is an old and time-tested server for comics and regular books. Its interface is simpler and less modern (but easier to configure and less demanding on resources). There is an interesting feature for some users - a built-in image gallery
