Kobo Clara vs Kobo Mini

May 09, 2026 | Author: Dhaval Parekh
Kobo Clara and Kobo Mini are both e-readers with e-Ink touchscreen that allow to purchase e-books from Kobo store and read them without eye strain. They support popular EPUB, MOBI and PDF formats, allow to adjust font size, connect to Wi-Fi and ensure long battery life.

But Kobo Clara is a newer e-reader with a larger, higher-resolution 6-inch display that features ComfortLight backlighting, which allows to read in the dark. It has more internal storage and some additional features, such as a built-in dictionary and InstaPaper app for reading web articles.

Kobo Mini is an ultra-compact 5-inch e-reader that's very lightweight, making it easy to carry in your pocket. However, it's a relatively old model, lacking backlighting and offering minimal features and settings. The advantage is that it's less expensive on the used market.
