Kindle Paperwhite and PocketBook Verse are both e-readers with e-ink technology. Both have a touchscreen with built-in backlighting for reading in various lighting conditions, compact, lightweight design, making them convenient for reading on the go. Both allow to store a large number of books and can connect to Wi-Fi for syncing and downloading books.
But Kindle Paperwhite has a larger screen - almost 7 inches, with a higher resolution (300 ppi) and adjustable backlight color temperature (from warm to cool), ensuring exceptionally sharp text. It is water-resistant (IPX8 rating) and supports audiobooks (via Bluetooth headphones). Theoretically, the Paperwhite offers longer battery life - up to several weeks without charging. Naturally, the e-reader is integrated with the Amazon Kindle Store, so you can purchase books and sync your library/progress with other Kindle devices and apps.
PocketBook Verse is an entry-level e-reader with a 6-inch screen. Unlike Kindle Paperwhite, it has a microSD slot that allows to significantly increase the ebook storage. PocketBook also supports many more book formats, including EPUB, PDF, FB2, CBR and others. The interface and features are designed for a "universal" e-reader, not connected to single store ecosystem, so it's more convenient if you use multiple book sources. The Verse is significantly more affordable than the Paperwhite.
