Booklore and Audiobookshelf are both software for organizing audiobooks. They are self-hosted servers that provide a web interface for managing library and allow you to stream audiobooks to mobile devices (in a browser or in application). They allow to set bookmarks and remember the listening progress.

But Booklore supports not only audiobooks, but also regular e-books. It's a simpler program with a minimalist design and set of functions - which is enough for small libraries. But it works quicker, easier to install / configure and consumes fewer resources.

Audiobookshelf - is focused only on audiobooks. It provides more powerful administration tools, more flexible options for organizing books by authors, series, genres. It has the ability to multi-user access, built-in transcoding support, own client applications for different platforms
