Moon Reader and ReadEra are both Android e-book reader apps that support multiple formats, including EPUB, PDF and MOBI. They provide usual features like bookmarking, highlighting. customizable reading options like fonts, themes and night mode and allow offline reading.

But Moon Reader (available since 2010) is Chinese app targeted at users who want advanced customization options. For example, it offers TTS (Text-to-Speech) integration, OPDS catalog support for downloading books, home-screen widget for quick access to recent books.

ReadEra (developed in Russia in 2017) is more focused on simplicity for casual readers. It has no ads in the free version, unlike Moon Reader. It also can do some tricks like split-screen mode for viewing multiple documents, automatic detection and categorization books by genre.
