PDFMate vs ePubSoft Converter

April 26, 2026 | Author: Maria Lin
PDFMate and ePubSoft Converter are both programs for converting e-books between different formats for reading then on e-readers like Kindle and Kobo. They support popular formats such as EPUB, PDF, MOBI and others and have a simple and intuitive interface. Both programs are paid.

But PDFMate supports more input file formats (24), can batch convert multiple books at once, allows editing metadata (author, title, etc.), better preserves the structure and formatting of the original file, offers advanced settings (fonts, layout, style) and can even remove DRM protection from some books. If you connect your e-reader to your computer, PDFMate will automatically recognize it and import the books. However, the program is only available by subscription (approximately $30/year).

ePubSoft Converter is a simpler program with limited interface settings and customization options. However, it can be purchased for a one-time payment ($15). It features drag-and-drop file additions and displays a preview of the book before conversion. For expanded functionality, the developer offers bundles with other programs, such as DRM removal.
