Amazon-owned world's largest website for book recommendations and discussions. You mark which books or genres you've enjoyed in the past, and the site makes helpful recommendations. Its recommendation system is said to analyzes 20 billion data points to provide suggestions tailored to your literary tastes. You can also read reviews from other people, connect with readers with similar interests and see what books your friends are discussing. You can create "bookshelves" to organize what you've read (or want to read). You can also comment on each other's reviews.

2017. GoodReads is rolling out the ReRead system



Many GoodReads users set a reading goal for the year. Sometimes you just want to revisit the Harry Potter series or one of the Divergent books, but previously, these would not count towards your goal. This has changed with a new BETA ReRead feature that will be introduced globally in the coming months. Next time you decide to reread a book that you've already marked as Read on Goodreads, simply label it as Currently Reading. When you finish, just mark it as Read. You can do this from the Goodreads iOS and Android apps, on Goodreads.com and also in the About the Book feature on Kindle.


2014. BookLikes goes international with multilingual book database



Book-focused blog platform BookLikes is now available with a new, modern and sleek design, featuring a simple, user-friendly and straightforward appearance that encourages the BookLikes Community to discover new books and engage with other book reviewers and authors. One of the key elements of the new design is the updated book database tailored to the language version of each BookLikes member. The new book search options and book pages offer novel ways of discovering books, including language editions, tagged posts and reviews. BookLikes members can switch between language editions of a given title, providing the blog platform with a global reach and an overview of reading preferences on an international scale.


2014. Book recommendation site BookLikes integrates with Kindle


BookLikes, the site that helps people share their reading life and discover new books, introduces reading progress synchronization for Amazon Kindle. It lets each BookLikes member keep their BookLikes followers up to date on reading status and the latest information about read and rated ebooks straight from Kindle device. If you read on Kindle and share the reading progress and ratings across your social media, it will be updated on user’s BookLikes account. Each member can configure his/her synchronization option in BookLikes Settings and share ebook reading flow and ebook ratings in real time manner directly from Kindle e-reader.
